MICHAEL KLEWS

Michael Klews began his law enforcement career over 20 year ago, and quickly found his passion as a crash reconstructionist. In that time, he has investigated over 1,000 crashes, and has become experienced in providing testimony in civil and criminal cases. Michael has been certified as an expert witness in numerous trials in counties throughout Oregon. In 2016, Michael started his private business as an investigator.

In 2017, Michael became ACTAR certified, and he holds additional certifications related to downloading and interpreting Airbag Control Modules. He also holds an FAA Part 107 license to pilot drones, and he is practiced in 3D diagramming. While his expertise in these skills is crucial in reconstructing a crash, what truly makes Michael invaluable to crash investigations is his unwavering devotion to finding the truth. Michael uses math and physics, along with his extensive investigative experience to discover and present the facts of a crash in a way that is clear, precise, and reliable.

Aside from crash reconstruction, Michael is also passionate about his family, football, and musicals. When he was 13 years old, Michael moved from his hometown of Hamburg, Germany to California. He then moved to the Eugene area to play football for the University of Oregon Ducks, while earning his degree in History. He went on to marry his college sweetheart, and together they have raised three beautiful children. He and his wife enjoy cheering on the Ducks, attending musicals at the theater, and traveling around the world.
