Rodney Thrower began his law enforcement career in 2002, and has been an accident reconstructionist for 18 years. Rodney has responded to, investigated, and reconstructed hundreds of accidents involving passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, pedestrians, and bicycles. In addition to being an ACTAR certified member of the Major Collision Investigation team, Rodney has been a member of his department’s Traffic Safety Unit for five years. His devotion to traffic safety, as well as his innate hard-working character, make Rodney a strong asset in the world of crash reconstruction.

Rodney’s work ethic was instilled from a young age, when he worked on a family farm outside his hometown of Corning New York. He played football and baseball in high school, and went on to play two years of football at Alfred University. In 1987, Rodney left college to join the Marine Corps. He served as a Heavy Equipment Operator with 1st Combat Engineer Battalion and as an Aviation Electronics Technician with Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24. Rodney is a combat veteran from the 1st Gulf War. In 1995, when his enlistment ended, Rodney moved to Oregon and joined the Oregon National Guard. His dedication led to him being commissioned as a Platoon Leader for 2nd Battalion 162nd Infantry Regiment. Rodney’s vast experiences and successes as a Police Officer and as a Marine, combined with his expertise as a crash reconstructionist, prove that he has the tenacity and knowledge to take on any accident investigation.

In his free time, Rodney enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and traveling to see what the world has to offer.
